More Details on Our Top Picks
Daydayup 3 Pack Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Nintendo Switch
This set of three tempered glass protectors stands out for its high transparency and scratch resistance, making it ideal for players who want clear visuals without sacrificing durability. Compared with bulkier plastic film protectors, these offer a more premium feel and better touchscreen sensitivity, though their installation requires careful handling to avoid bubbles or misalignment. The inclusion of multiple protectors and accessories adds value, especially for users prone to accidental scratches or drops. However, since they are designed specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2017 model, they may not fit newer versions without adjustment. This pick is perfect for players prioritizing clarity and scratch resistance in a long-term protective solution.
Pros:- High transparency preserves natural display quality
- Durable 9H hardness resists scratches effectively
- Includes multiple protectors and installation accessories
Cons:- Installation can be tricky and requires careful handling
- Designed solely for the Nintendo Switch 2017, limiting compatibility
Best for: Players who want durable, high-clarity screen protection for their Nintendo Switch 2017 model.
Not ideal for: Casual users or owners of newer Switch models, as these protectors are tailored to the 2017 version only.
- Compatibility:Nintendo Switch 2017
- Thickness:0.3mm
- Surface Hardness:9H
- Transparency:99.9%
- Includes:3x Glass Protectors, Microfiber Cloth, Wet Wipes, Installation Guide
Our verdict“This tempered glass protector kit makes the most sense for users seeking reliable, clear, and durable screen protection for the original Switch model.”
Orzly Accessory Bundle Kit for Nintendo Switch & OLED
This comprehensive bundle offers a broad range of accessories, including a protective carrying case, screen protectors, racing wheels, and comfort grips, making it ideal for gamers who want a one-stop-shop for versatile gear. Unlike the Switch Accessories Bundle for Nintendo Switch, which packs 23 items, the Orzly kit balances quality and convenience, though some may find certain accessories redundant if they already own similar gear. It’s especially suited for those who frequently switch between handheld and docked modes, as it covers both scenarios with travel-friendly protection and immersive options like racing wheels. The main tradeoff is that the bundle might include more than some casual players need, and some accessories may not see heavy use. This makes sense for dedicated players seeking a complete package to enhance portability and gameplay comfort.
Pros:- Complete set with a wide range of accessories for on-the-go and at-home use
- Includes a protective case and screen protectors for travel durability
- Comfortable grips and racing wheels for immersive gameplay
Cons:- May include more items than casual users need
- Some accessories could be redundant if you already own similar gear
Best for: Enthusiasts who want a versatile, all-in-one set for both portable and docked gaming on Nintendo Switch and OLED.
Not ideal for: Casual players who only need basic protection or who prefer purchasing accessories individually to avoid redundancy.
- Compatibility:Nintendo Switch & Switch OLED
- Includes:Carrying case, screen protectors, racing wheels, grips, charge station, playstand, cartridge case, earphones, USB cable, stylus
- Warranty:1 year
Our verdict“This bundle is ideal for serious gamers looking for a comprehensive kit that covers all their protection and accessory needs in one purchase.”
Switch Accessories Bundle for Nintendo Switch (23 in 1)
With 23 accessories included, this bundle offers a highly versatile toolkit for those who want to customize and protect their Nintendo Switch experience. It features everything from a carrying case and tempered glass protectors to racing wheels and silicone cases, making it ideal for players who enjoy a variety of gaming setups and protective options. Compared to the PowerA Joy-Con Comfort Grips, which focus solely on controller ergonomics, this bundle provides a more comprehensive package but at the expense of some redundancy and bulk. Its main tradeoff is that it doesn’t include the console, Joy-Con, or games, so it’s best suited for owners already set on their core hardware. Best for gamers who want a full suite of accessories to enhance comfort, protection, and organization.
Pros:- Includes an extensive variety of accessories for versatile gaming setups
- Protective items like tempered glass and silicone cases
- Ergonomic grips and adjustable stand enhance comfort
Cons:- No console, Joy-Con, or games included, requiring additional purchases
- Bulkiness may hinder portability for some users
Best for: Dedicated Switch owners seeking a broad array of accessories to customize and protect their device.
Not ideal for: First-time buyers or casual players who don’t want to deal with a bulky, multi-piece set or already own many accessories.
- Number of Items:23
- Includes:Carrying case, tempered glass, racing wheels, grips, charging dock, stand, game card holder, TPU cover, joystick caps, silicone cases
Our verdict“This 23-in-1 bundle is best suited for gamers who want a comprehensive accessory collection for every gaming occasion.”
eXtremeRate PlayVital Back Cover for Nintendo Switch Console, Joy-Con Handheld Controller Separable Protector Hard Shell, Dockable Protective Case – Matcha Green (NOT for Switch 2)
This hard shell case provides all-around protection with shock absorption and scratch resistance, making it a solid choice for players concerned about durability. Its precise cut-outs and separable design allow for easy removal of Joy-Cons without taking off the case, which is a significant convenience over bulkier protective covers like the Switch Accessories Bundle for Nintendo Switch. However, the case is tailored specifically for the original Nintendo Switch and may not fit newer models or dock setups, which could be a drawback for owners planning to upgrade. Its lightweight, anti-slip surface enhances grip during intense gaming sessions, but the color may wear over time with frequent handling. This case is ideal for players who prioritize rugged protection and easy access to controls.
Pros:- Provides comprehensive shock and scratch protection
- Easy to remove Joy-Cons without removing the case
- Lightweight and anti-slip for comfortable grip
Cons:- Not compatible with Switch 2 or OLED models
- Color may wear with frequent use, and fit may be an issue with certain docks
Best for: Players seeking a durable, easy-to-remove protective case for the original Switch, especially for portable gaming.
Not ideal for: Owners of newer Switch models or OLED versions, due to compatibility issues, or those who prefer slim cases with minimal bulk.
- Compatible Devices:Nintendo Switch, Joy-Con
- Material:Polycarbonate, tempered glass
- Dimensions:6.1 x 4.53 x 1.97 inches
- Weight:18 g
- Color:Matcha Green
Our verdict“This case is best for those who want tough, lightweight protection with convenient Joy-Con removal for the original Nintendo Switch.”
PowerA Joy-Con Comfort Grips for Nintendo Switch – Black
The PowerA Joy-Con Comfort Grips transform standard controllers into ergonomic, single-hand units with rubber grips that reduce fatigue, making them ideal for long gaming sessions. Compared to the Orzly Accessory Bundle Kit, which offers a variety of accessories, these grips focus solely on improving controller comfort and handling. They are straightforward to slide onto Joy-Cons, providing a more comfortable grip without adding bulk or compromising portability. However, their design may not suit players with larger hands or those preferring more extensive controller modifications. Moreover, as they only fit Joy-Con controllers, owners of other accessories or controllers will need additional options. This pick makes the most sense for players who want quick, ergonomic upgrades to their existing Joy-Con controllers.
Pros:- Ergonomic rubber grips for improved comfort
- Easy to install and remove from Joy-Cons
- Stands up on its own for display or tabletop use
Cons:- Limited to Joy-Con controllers only
- Design may not fit all hand sizes comfortably
Best for: Players who frequently use Joy-Con controllers and want a simple, comfortable grip for extended play.
Not ideal for: Players seeking full controller replacements or those with larger hands who find the grips too small or uncomfortable.
- Compatible Devices:Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
- Controller Type:Joy-Con
- Additional Features:Anti-Slip, Heavy Duty Protection, Lightweight
- Item Weight:3.2 ounces
Our verdict“This grip is perfect for Joy-Con users wanting a quick, comfortable upgrade for longer gaming sessions.”
Nintendo Switch Joy-Con (L)/(R) – Pastel Purple/Pastel Green
This pair of pastel-colored Joy-Con controllers stands out for players who want to add a splash of personality to their Switch setup. Compared with standard black or neon controllers, these provide a more personalized look, which can make gaming sessions feel more fun and fresh. They include motion controls and HD rumble, offering immersive gameplay similar to the original Joy-Con but with a softer, more inviting palette. However, their limited color options may not appeal to everyone, and battery life isn’t specified, which could be a concern for extended play. These are perfect for casual gamers who value style and basic functionality but might not satisfy those looking for high-performance or extensive customization.
Pros:- Vivid pastel colors enhance aesthetic appeal
- Features motion controls and HD rumble for immersive gameplay
- Includes wrist straps for secure handling
Cons:- Limited to Nintendo Switch compatibility
- Battery life not specified, may vary with usage
Best for: Players who prioritize aesthetic customization and casual gaming experiences.
Not ideal for: Serious gamers or those seeking long-lasting controllers for marathon sessions, as battery details are unclear.
- Compatible Devices:Nintendo Switch
- Controller Type:Gamepad
- Connectivity Technology:Bluetooth
- Additional Features:Rumble
- Button Quantity:5
- Item Weight:5.92 ounces
- Package Quantity:1
- Item Dimensions:3.94 x 0.79 x 19.69 inches
Our verdict“This pick is ideal for casual players who want colorful controllers that add personality to their gaming setup.”
Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller
The Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller targets gamers who want a controller closer to traditional console setups, offering high-quality HD Rumble, motion controls, and built-in amiibo functionality. Compared with the standard Joy-Cons, this controller provides a more comfortable grip and better durability for longer gaming sessions. The inclusion of a capture button and customizable C buttons further enhances control, especially for multiplayer or streaming. Nonetheless, the lack of a listed charging cable or batteries may be inconvenient, and limited info on compatibility with non-Switch devices could restrict its versatility. This controller is well-suited for dedicated gamers who want a premium feel and extra control features but may be less appealing for casual or portable-only players.
Pros:- High-quality HD Rumble and motion controls for immersive gameplay
- Built-in amiibo functionality adds versatility
- Customizable buttons enhance user control
Cons:- No included charging cable or batteries mentioned
- Limited information on compatibility with other devices
Best for: Serious gamers seeking a high-quality, versatile controller with customization options.
Not ideal for: Casual users or those with limited space who prefer more compact or budget-friendly options, due to potential extra costs for accessories.
- HD Rumble:Yes
- Motion controls:Yes
- Amiibo functionality:Built-in
- Capture Button:Yes
- C Button:Yes, customizable
- Audio jack:3.5mm stereo mini plug
Our verdict“This controller makes the most sense for gamers who want a premium, feature-rich experience suited to extended play sessions.”
How We Picked
Products were evaluated based on durability, usability, build quality, and overall value. We prioritized accessories that enhance the gaming experience—whether through protection, comfort, or performance—while considering compatibility across different Switch models. Ease of installation, user reviews, and brand reputation also influenced the rankings. Our goal was to identify accessories that offer a meaningful upgrade without unnecessary extras or inflated prices, ensuring they suit a range of gamers from casual players to dedicated enthusiasts.Factors to Consider When Choosing Nintendo Switch Accessories
When choosing Nintendo Switch accessories, it’s important to consider how they fit your gaming habits, device compatibility, and budget. The right accessories should improve comfort, protect your device, and enhance gameplay without complicating your setup. Being aware of common pitfalls, like buying incompatible or low-quality products, can save you money and frustration. Here are some key factors to keep in mind:Compatibility and Device Model
Always verify that the accessory is compatible with your specific Switch model—be it the original, OLED, or Switch 2. Many accessories designed for older models may not fit newer versions properly, leading to installation issues or reduced functionality. Checking compatibility ensures you get a product that works seamlessly and lasts longer.Protection and Durability
For accessories like cases and screen protectors, durability is essential to prevent damage during travel or accidental drops. High-quality tempered glass offers better scratch resistance, while rugged cases can absorb impacts. Investing in durable options can extend the lifespan of your device and save money over time.Comfort and Ergonomics
Extended gaming sessions demand comfortable grips and controllers. Ergonomic accessories like PowerA grips or customized controllers can reduce hand fatigue and improve control. However, overly bulky or poorly fitted grips may hinder gameplay, so consider your hand size and grip style when choosing.Performance and Responsiveness
For competitive or fast-paced gaming, controllers like the Switch 2 Pro Controller offer higher responsiveness and precision. Cheaper controllers may introduce lag or less accurate inputs, which can diminish your experience. Prioritize performance-enhancing accessories if you play competitively.Value and Budget
Bundles provide convenience and savings but may include unnecessary items. Focus on what you need most—whether extra controllers, protective gear, or charging solutions—and avoid overspending on features that won’t benefit your play style. Balance quality with affordability for the best overall value.Frequently Asked Questions
Will a tempered glass screen protector affect the touchscreen sensitivity?
High-quality tempered glass screen protectors are designed to maintain touchscreen responsiveness, often with minimal impact. Cheaper options may cause slight delays or reduce sensitivity, but reputable brands ensure smooth interaction. Proper installation is key to avoiding bubbles and ensuring full functionality, so follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully. Are third-party controllers like the Switch 2 Pro Controller reliable?
Third-party controllers can offer comparable performance at a lower price but may vary in build quality and responsiveness. Look for reviews from trusted sources and brands with good reputations. Some cheaper options might lack durability or have input lag, so weigh your need for precision against your budget. Can I use regular phone cases or accessories with my Switch?
Most phone cases are incompatible with the Switch unless specifically designed as console accessories. Instead, choose cases made for gaming devices that provide proper fit and protection. Using the wrong type can hinder access to ports or cause unnecessary bulk, so select accessories tailored for the Switch for optimal compatibility.Do ergonomic grips improve gameplay for casual players?
Yes, ergonomic grips can significantly reduce hand fatigue and improve comfort during long gaming sessions, even for casual players. They help keep your hands relaxed, which can enhance control and prevent discomfort. However, some grips may alter the feel of the controller, so it’s best to choose one that matches your hand size and grip style. Is it worth upgrading to the Switch 2 Pro Controller?
Upgrading to the Switch 2 Pro Controller makes sense for gamers seeking higher responsiveness, better ergonomics, and advanced features like HD rumble and improved battery life. While it costs more than standard controllers, the performance boost can make a noticeable difference in competitive or fast-paced games, justifying the investment for serious players. Conclusion
For casual gamers or those seeking maximum convenience, the Orzly Accessory Bundle Kit offers great value and variety. Serious players or competitive gamers should consider the Switch 2 Pro Controller for its superior performance.
